The SELECT trial (NCT03574597) measured time to first major adverse cardiovascular event in 17,604 overweight or obese adults with established cardiovascular disease and no diabetes; semaglutide 2.4 mg weekly delivered a 20% relative risk reduction in that composite at median follow-up of 39.8 months, published NEJM November 2023. Singapore and Hong Kong family offices pricing Novo Nordisk equity as a biological-aging position are holding that cardiovascular study. The capital is pricing lifespan extension. The trial delivered MACE reduction in a population defined by pre-existing cardiovascular disease, not by biological age.

HSA Singapore and NMPA's Center for Drug Evaluation have each approved semaglutide under diabetes and obesity indications, with metabolic and cardiovascular endpoints. Neither has issued an aging indication. The mechanism argument (that GLP-1 receptor agonism attenuates systemic inflammation and therefore slows biological aging) runs ahead of any trial designed to measure it, and ahead of any epigenetic age clock reference validated in East Asian populations, which is the population most APAC family-office clients belong to. Hevolution Foundation's geroscience program (nine-figure annual endowment, active since 2022) has funded epigenetic clock validation predominantly in European-ancestry cohorts; its published grant register includes no primary program for East Asian populations. HSA's published IND docket and NMPA's Center for Drug Evaluation active applications list contain no GLP-1 submission with a lifespan or biological-age primary endpoint.

Strong. The capital-versus-trial-design gap is named precisely and the regulatory record is checked, not assumed.-- WR
