Sydney, 1998. Born in Hong Kong, family moved to Sydney in 2002 when she was four. Father had been a mid-level civil servant at the HK government, took early retirement during the SARS aftermath and started a small import business in Sydney. Cantonese at home, English everywhere else. Sydney Girls High School, then UNSW for a double degree in economics and statistics, graduating 2021. Two years at a Sydney sports analytics firm doing client work for the AFL and NRL, then a year at the sports desk of a national financial daily as a data journalist. Moved to Hong Kong in early 2025 for the Wang Report. Lives in Sai Ying Pun. Competitive sabre fencer. Has been to every Hong Kong Sevens since she was nine.
